Step into my office. (Did I mention my office is my kitchen?)

Welcome to Editor & Chef, I’m your host, Allison East. I am a writer, editor, and book designer, a mom to two tiny children. I have been known to describe myself somewhere between Eloise at the Plaza and an epicurean rat in search of nothing less than transcendence. As in, Ratatouille.

A bit about me: I studied journalism for my undergraduate degree and went on to get my master’s in publishing at Oxford Brookes University. I worked for a literary agency before my children were born, and now run a small bookish agency called North Parade Press where I design and typeset books for authors.

I love to write about food, books, my experience of mothering, and my faith. All of these things are intertwined in my heart and mind, and I figure I’m not the only one.
